"Norsk Hydro, Harstad" (1 of 3)
Description
The Norsk Hydro site is on the Kanebogen industrial estate, four kilometres from the centre of Harstad. The site area is situated on a flat stretch of land in terrain sloping down to the sea. The buildings round about are predominantly industrial and office premises.
The administration building that was built for Norsk Hydro consists of two rectangular office blocks, with a small building in the middle made of glass and the technical centre, which comprises the reception area and technical headquarters. On the west side and up towards the road there is a car park connected to the office building. The site has a compact appearance, with brick façades and large expanses of blue-tinted reflective plate-glass windows.
