Description

Grønnegata 136 is a small house renovated in accordance with conservation guidelines during the 1980s. It's a log house with cladding, windows, front door and detailing in late empire-style. It also has a pantile roof, which was the most common roofing material on Tromsø's houses during the 19th century. The pantiles were produced at the brickworks in Tromsdalen, just across the sound, and not many of these roofs are still intact. Grønnegata 136' outbuildings have undergone major reconstruction and now contain rooms incorporated into the house and a garage.
