The elevation facing Strandskillet is symmetrical and the windows of the four larger bedsits are paired. Each of these windows has two large casements. The two smaller bedsits are at the back of the building each with a protruding corner. On the two lower floors the south wall has been recessed. The communal room on the top floor has a green felt pitched roof which is set back from the parapet, and it has large south facing windows which go all the way up to the sloping ceiling. It's possibly needless to mention, but the view up here is magnificent.
