Description
Staff housing is situated east of the hospital and higher up in the landscape and there are different kinds of houses, most of them along the street Lars Eriksens veg. This photograph shows one of the distinctive four-family brick houses towards the southern end of the street that were built towards the end of the 1950s as part of the first phase of the new hospital development. Style-wise these houses have many of the characteristics of the period such as: concrete and brick constructions, gridded parts of the elevations, pitched roofs and the inside functions reflected in the elevation's design. On this house the entrance area demonstrates the latter with a large glazed area exposing the internal stairwell.
