Another aspect that is representative of many of the houses in the street is the built-on staircase, here from Fogd Dreyers gate 24. There are two entrances from the built-on staircase, one to each of the main storeys. Some of the houses have a porch or balcony in the corner between the house itself and the built-on staircase, a feature that has been added during renovations in the course of the past 20 years.
