Description

The ground floor has horizontal panelling in a light off-white colour, which lends a sense of unity to the site, while the upper floor has vertical panelling painted in strong colours (individual to each unit), which lends individuality and character to the site. The horizontal panelling on the rear of the houses is mitred at the corners, whilst at the front of the houses it is drawn out to the sides in small projections from the wall, that are finished off at the front with vertical planks. The upper floor has traditional carpentered panelling with upper and lower sleepers
the upper sleeper forms the frame for the windows. Under the slanted roof at the top of the wall, horizontal panelling is again used, the same type as on the ground floor, but the colour of the upper floor is continued right up to the roof.
