The Department of Pharmacy building was designed by Borealis Arkitekter and was opened in 1998. The building is elongated and follows a district structure in terms of the framework plan. It terminates the district's corner near the walkway and near the Medicine and Health Studies complex (MH) on the northern side. On the southern side lies the building designated for fishery research. In terms of the building's design, the climatic conditions were taken into consideration. By having an arched form, the roof collects little snow. In addition, the roof form, along with the height of the rafters, casts a limited amount of shade over the MH-square.
