The Upper Pavilion was opened in 1992 and holds offices and a lecture hall. The rectangular office volume has a light and open façade. This stands in contrast to the stiff expression of the cylinder form. Shiny reflective materials, such as sheets of polished slate and metal decorate the Lower Pavilion. While matte materials, such as unmodified slate tiles and plastered brick adorn the Upper Pavilion.
