"Alveveien 13-49 - terrassehus" (2 of 4)
Description
The two buildings are rectangular in form and are terraced in length. In other words, each storey is recessed in relation to the underlying storey. There are exterior terraces on the south and west sides for the flats, something which also aids in creating movement on the wall plane. The building is clad with horizontal wooden panelling that is painted in light colours. In all, the terraces blocks contain 18 flats in varying sizes and form. The two roomed flats, each measuring 58 square metres are the smallest, while the largest are the five roomed, two-storied flats, which each measure 120 square metres. Each flat has through-way light
meaning that light comes in through at least two sides in the living rooms. Transparent protective walls have been employed on the terraces and balconies, providing a warm sunny area already as early as March. The lifts and stairways are annexed to the exterior section of the building, on the north-side.
