Description
The museum building was hit during the bombardment of Bodø in May 1940, but was repaired. The collections were not damaged as they were stored in the building's cellar. Nordlandsmuseet, which is a museum of cultural history, took over the building in 1947 and is now its sole occupant. However, both the city's library and an art gallery have at times also resided here.
