Description

Situated above the circular core section of the complex, is the old control tower from the Bodø Airport. It was in operation from 1953 until 1992. Today it serves as the reserve control tower at the airport. This reuse of an older building element creates a direct and close connection between the actual building and its purpose, such as the civil aviation centre. The original airport terminal and control tower were designed by the architect John Engh.
