 Guovdageainnu Gilisillju

Guovdageainnu Gilisillju ( Kautokeino Museum)
This is an ordinary turf hut (Sámi word: "bealjegoathi") where the overall design is made of crooked birch branches. It is covered with wood, birch bark and sod. At the Kautokeino Rural Museum there are multiple types of turf huts: cooking turf huts, sheep turf huts, a turf hut for storing fish, one for storing reindeer moss, along with a wilderness turf hut that was used to overnight in while one was out in the wilderness.
