The Holmboe Warehouses and the Arnesen Warehouse are four warehouses that are juxtaposed on the Prostneset in Tromsø's town centre. They were built to store goods that arrived and left via the harbour. They were built in the 19th and early 20th century. The surrounding area is characterised by filled-in rock and quay construction from 1913, recent concrete quay sheds and new buildings such as the SAS hotel.

The warehouses are made of wood. Those that were build in the 19th century have interior rooms made of cog jointed timber, an open timber frame and closed porticos on the exterior. The Holmboe Warehouses are constructed in this fashion. The timber frame warehouses built in Tromsø during the 19th century had this construction. During 20th century, use of a strong timber frame was common.
